DRM Software Banned !!

A french court has ruled that DRM software used to prevent DVDs from being copying is illegal. The Court decided that the use of the software banned owners from making copies of the products which they had purchased for private use . The french court gave film firms a month to remove the DRM software from their discs.:boxed:

    Good thing, there shouldn’t be copy protection in such a way that even the legit user can’t make copies for personal use. I for one copy my audio cd’s to my HDD & then listen to them, as I listen to music usually all day, while I’m on my PC. :grin: Using a CD all that while would damage it in less than a week. :sad:

    And the same goes to DVDs, though they have a lot longer life than CDs, but still, I don’t like to take chances, a blank DVD costs Rs.50 while the movie’s DVD costs above Rs.400, that’s a lot of difference!! :wink:
