Longhorn in Limelight

Everybody is talking about Longhorn, the next version of Microsoft Windows. :think:
Microsoft has unveiled its new features in 2005 Windows Hardware Engineering Conference.
Longhorn’s new graphics engine, Avalon, will have some stunning effects, like the so-called aero glass transparency, which allows content from one window to show through parts of the window on top of it. Also they have announced the incorporation of a new document format code named as Metro.
Other great features introduced are:-
- The improved connectivity feature, that will support cell phones in the same way that Windows now supports digital cameras.
- The Direct Media feature to allow users to play music and/or video without actually booting up windows.:applause:
- And the touch screen functionality. :tup:
