Microsoft Metro
During Windows Hardware Engineering Conference (WinHEC) in Seattle, Microsoft chairman Bill Gates introduced a new document format code named Metro which will be included in the next version of Microsoft Windows.
According to technology analysts, Metro appears to rival Adobe Systems’s PostScript and PDF (portable document format) technologies. Metro will be based on XML so its gonna be royalty free and users will be able to open Metro files without a special client, I have read somewhere that if you zoom in on the document, it retains all its clarity and fidelity just like PDF does.
