Yahoo Mail 1 GB !!
Yes, now they will give 1 GB too along with new Search Inbox feature. Visit the Yahoo! What’s New Page.
Some people are claiming to have got their inboxes upgraded to 1GB but I have’nt got it yet. I think Yahoo! knows that I am happy with my 2 GB Gmail account.

Currently 1GB is offered only on Yahoo! China email service. They are offering it to woo the chinese users.
So if you want your email to be like yourname@yahoo.com.cn, then you can have that 1GB. Besides you should know Chinese to navigate around if you don’t plan to use any translation service like babelfish.
Some users on the Thinkdigit Forum are claiming to have got 1 GB already on their Yahoo India account.

well, its possible they may have got it, either accidently or by using the tactics which were/are used for getting 250MB on Hotmail. But I doubt that they’ll get that 1GB all by itself without any shady means. The country specific Yahoo! accounts got 100MB/250MB later than the yahoo.com mail accounts, remember!!
