Video iPod, Finally ?

Considering Apple has brought out two major products in the last month, although I’d say the ROKR is a disapointment, there may just be enough time for one more, the much anticipated iPod Video ! I had blogged earlier about Apple bringing video capabilities to the iPod, and the rumors have been gathering pace lately.

An article at engadget says the iPod Video may be due out within a week ! There is even a grainy picture, which seems like an Apple make. We all know how popular Steve Jobs’ “show on Saturday, sell on Sunday” strategy has become. The Nano was a bolt from the blue and the iPod Video may be another. Now that many of Apple’s competitors have introduced Video capabilities in their MP3 players, Apple simply cannot afford to lag behind.

As of now, these are still rumors, but the chances are high. One thing I can’t figure out is why Apple would wait for some time after introducing the Nano, but when it’s Apple, expect the unexpected.
