GoDaddy Offers Ten Times More!!

While I logged into my GoDaddy hosting control panel to check an account, I noticed that my storage and bandwidth allocation has increased tenfold! I am currently using GoDaddy’s basic plan with 500 MB space and 25000 MB bandwidth, but the control panel as well as the statistics panel shows 5000MB and 250000 MB instead! At first, I considered this a bug in their system, but it soon turned out to be reality.

This means that I pay $3.16 per month (yearly package special) for 5 GB of storage and a mammoth 250 GB of bandwidth!!! GoDaddy has gone up 10 times, and with these plans they beat whom I consider their closest competitor, Dreamhost by virtue of their prices. Also, I now have 500 email addresses instead of 100 and 10 MySQL databases instead of the old 1 database. The only thing I regret with GoDaddy’s hosting is that they do not provide cPanel, but I think I can get myself to forget that after this.

New Economy Plan:

• 5 GB Storage
• 250GB Bandwidth
• 500 email Addresses
• 10 MySQL Databases
• Choice of Windows (ASP) or Linux (PHP)
• $3.95 per month or $3.16 per month for yearly package.

My only question is - Why do they call it Economy?
