Xbox still on hot run!!
The next gen gaming console from Microsoft, Xbox 360, continues to sell like hot cakes. Its already in severe short supply in US alone where it was launched on 22nd November 2005, despite the reports of many people that its defective and is heating up in 30 minutes of gaming. Now is the turn of the UK to become the war zone among gamers trying to lay their hands on this shiny box and which are so desperate that they are willing to pay about double the price of an Xbox, says a news story on vnunet.com.
Scheduled to be launched on December 1, 2005 in UK, people just can’t wait to get their Xbox and are willing to pay above GBP 500 on the british eBay website even if it just gets them the Xbox just a day earlier!! Xbox 360 will be retailing at GBP 270(premium version) & GBP 200(standard version).
Microsoft has admitted a severe shortage in supply as it dispatched 300,000 pieces for the UK launch and many retailers claiming that they are sold out on the advance orders alone. :applause:
Really!! :eyebrow: Its a rage, its spreading like an uncontrollable epidemic, people are just going bonkers for an Xbox 360, despite some reports here and there from people on Xbox problems, especially heating up issues!! :bingo: If this is the case with Xbox, I just can’t imagine what it’ll be like when Sony rolls out PlayStation 3 next year that’ll supposedly be introducing Blu-Ray disks, Sony’s next gen DVDs. A lot of people will probably skip Xbox & must be waiting for PlayStation 3 to come out before getting their next gen gaming console. So either Sony will make it bigger than Microsoft or it’ll fall down due to Microsoft’s early capture of the market, but its sure gonna be some cool fireworks!!
